What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, mobile number, email address, city, the cover you are asking about and anything you write in the message. If you become a client we also hold the information insurers require to issue and service a policy - which may include date of birth, address, identity and tax numbers, vehicle or property details, employee census data, and claim records.
We also record technical information about the visit: IP address, browser, device type, the page the enquiry came from and the campaign that brought you there. This tells us which pages are useful.
Why we hold it
- To prepare quotations and place cover with insurers on your instruction
- To service the policy: endorsements, renewals, documents and claims
- To meet legal, regulatory and audit obligations
- To contact you about your enquiry or your policy
Who we share it with
Insurers, reinsurers, third party administrators and surveyors, strictly as needed to obtain a quotation, issue a policy or settle a claim. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
For the life of the relationship and afterwards for the period required by insurance and tax regulation. Enquiries that do not become policies are removed on request.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold, ask for a correction, withdraw consent to marketing contact, or ask for deletion where no legal obligation requires us to keep it. Write to info@trustcover.in.
Security
Data is held on access-controlled systems. Passwords are stored only as hashes. Policy documents are served through authenticated links rather than public URLs.
